the bad
two farming stories caught my eye today - one highlighting the ever increasing pressure being put on farmers by the supermarkets who buy at lower and lower prices forcing more an more farmers to cut their losses and shut the businesses down (to help us consumers obviously - nothing to do with maintaining or increasing their margins!) and the second highlighting the difficulty gay farmers face living in their traditional communities where their sexual preferences, if known would make life very difficult.

remember these people feed and clothe us and are the custodians of our countryside and need our support!

the ugly
an eight-year-old girl from San Francisco has been taken into care after her mother injected her with Botox.
Kerry Campbell said she gave her daughter Britney the drug to make her look better in child beauty pageants.
"A lot of the moms there are giving their kids Botox, I'm not the only one who does it," said Ms Campbell.

micheal owen allegedly tweeted his shock at the price (£250.00) of championship final tickets when he went online to purchase his  ALLOTTED share.  michael, michael, michael!  please consider the 98% of the population that earn considerably less than you and who would therefore sound slightly more justified in raising an eyebrow.  SECONDLY; 'allotted' - I'm assuming there are fans out there (some of them yours) who are clambering to get hold of A ticket.
